At Windsor Carriages, hospitality has always been part of the journey. Our event bookings for guests heading to Royal Ascot or a day at the Guards Polo Club included far more than just transport.

Lunch might be served on board at the polo grounds or within the Royal Enclosure, with the carriages dressed and positioned as part of the occasion.

Every element, from chilled Champagne to shaded seating, was curated to enhance the guest experience. Our estate picnics have been inspired by those days, with our walnut furniture and supplies being delivered by separate delivery or concierge carriage.

We are also honoured to continue to play a role in Windsor’s parades and public celebrations, offering our carriages in support of community events that reflect the inclusive, historic, and heartfelt nature of our town. Pictured right is a moment from a parade from a few decades ago with a carriage loaned by the Royal Mews, and more recently, below, at this year's Windsor’s first-ever Pride event, where our carriage was proudly included in the procession.

It was our privilege to contribute in a way that reflects both our heritage and our commitment to inclusion.

We continue to work with household names, from ITV to HBO alone this year. Historically, we’ve also held a longstanding relationship with Bouvet Ladubay, the French Champagne house, whose events featured carefully staged carriage appearances and tastings. One particularly memorable shoot saw our carriage photographed alongside the cast of ‘Allo ‘Allo!, capturing the charm and theatricality of the era. (As shown, right.)

We’ve also supported Royal Warrant holders with ceremonial and private deliveries. Our longstanding relationship with The Token House, suppliers of fine china and glassware to the Royal Family, saw our horses and carriages quietly fulfilling important duties in and around Windsor. These appearances weren’t just functional—they were symbolic of heritage, quality, and trust.

Each of these moments—whether for royalty, racegoers, or revered brands—was carefully designed and delivered by our team. Because even then, we weren’t simply offering traditional transport. We were offering arrival, occasion, and story—just as we do today.

It Begins With Arrival

Today, that legacy continues, shaped around a more modern guest experience with our full day visits we launched in 2023. Each Windsor visit begins with a warm welcome from your chauffeur, often collecting you from London.

Our team coordinates every detail: Castle access, restaurant reservations, weather adjustments, and the frequent town closures that come with life in a royal town and of course the main event, an estate drive.

This is not a loop. It’s a journey, sometimes from one side of the estate to the other,crafted around your interests, pace, and the rhythm of the day.

You might finish your visit at the boat launch for onward travel to Bray, or arrive at Windsor Castle for drinks and dining. Each day and drive is rarely the same.
