Do you run on time?

Yes, 95% of the time, we have got rather good at timings over the last 10 years since we started bookings in advance. We do reserve the right to move your booking by up to 10 minutes on the day or up to 1 hour with 24 hours notice should our schedule change due to the management of the horses / their break times. This is rare but the horses will always come first. We will call you if this is the case and we thank you for your understanding. If you are running to a tight schedule, please call us at: +441753 981980 and we can advance review that days operation.

Book Online on this website where your date is available. If you cannot find the date you would like please sign up to our newsletter, to be the first to know when new dates and times are added.

Do you point out anything during the ride? Do we get a photo? Can we meet the horses?

Yes, Your groom is your guide and will point out interesting places along the route.

At least one photo is taken on your phone as a memory of your trip with us.

You will be introduced to the horse/s on your arrival and can spend as little or as much time meeting and learning about them, all within your booking time.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

We do not allow food and drink inside the carriage on our shared Heritage Rides.

The Queen Victoria carriage has low scooping sides so is only suitable for small dogs that can be seated on your lap. Please call us to check that days carriage and book your pet in with us.

Where do I park my car?

The most convenient and economical parking on Saturdays would be in Alma Road.

The following car parks are also within walking distance from the carriage meeting point:

Windsor Yards - Multi-storey, 126 King Edward Court, Windsor SL4 1TH

Alma Road Car Park, Alma Road Windsor SL4 3HY

River street, River Street Windsor SL4 1QT

What if the weather is poor?

Windsor Carriages operate in all-weather unless Windsor Great Park issues a safety warning.

Please check the weather before visiting and dress appropriately.

All carriages are equipped with blankets and umbrellas for your comfort.

During wet weather, umbrellas are provided while you enter and exit the carriage.

Does the experience include entry to Windsor Castle

No. Entry to the actual castle where you can purchase a ticket to enter is not included in your tour. The carriage operates on The Long Walk which is outside of the paid entry to the Castle.

Why is there a booking fee?

There is a small cost to both you and us for the use of the online system. Automated scheduling and online booking confirmations and reminder emails allow us to best manage the schedules for the horses and provide an excellent level of service in your experience.
