Iconic Photos
Your guide will help you capture beautiful photographs with Windsor Castle as your backdrop, ensuring you leave with lasting memories of your time here.
The Long Walk is one of Windsor’s most iconic and beloved landmarks: a grand, tree-lined avenue stretching 2.64 miles (4.25 km) from the Castle gates to the Copper Horse statue in Windsor Great Park.
Originally laid out by King Charles II in the 1680s as a stately approach to the Castle, The Long Walk offers uninterrupted views, ancient oaks, and the occasional glimpse of Windsor’s resident red deer. A symbol of royal ceremony and timeless English design, it remains a place of quiet beauty, reflection, and unforgettable perspective.
"The views of the castle were spectacular. We fell in love with Joey the beautiful horse and John and Rebecca were just great! Certainly the highlight of our trip to Windsor."
