Our privately hosted Windsor Estate visits invite younger guests to discover a world beyond the familiar Castle walls.
There are horses to admire, stories to hear and extraordinary surroundings to explore.
Perhaps they’ll discover what it takes to be a coachman, hear about the horses who have worked in Windsor over the years, or meet one of our much-loved carriage horses.
And, of course, there’s Windsor Joey, who has a particular talent for making new friends.

Some children love castles and royal history. Others are fascinated by horses, nature or the simple pleasure of exploring somewhere new.
We thoughtfully arrange each occasion around the ages, interests and imaginations of those joining us.
A private carriage visit might be accompanied by time in royal gardens, an imaginative woodland playground, a family lunch or other discoveries across Windsor.
There’s no prescribed programme. Just the opportunity to create a rather special day together.
A Tradition for the Next Generation
Windsor’s historic carriage tradition has continued through five generations of custodians, with stories, skills and knowledge passed down along the way.
Sharing that world with children is one of its greatest pleasures.
Because heritage is not simply about remembering the past.
It’s about giving the next generation something to remember, too.
Children’s visits are privately arranged and hosted, with all activities and opportunities to meet the horses subject to suitability, supervision and their welfare.

We toured the castle, and then Rebecca met us to walk/guide us to the pub I had chosen for lunch…and even took the time to walk me past my old childhood home that I had mentioned to her in our planning call! She knew where all the best pubs/restaurants were….which shops I would enjoy, and told wonderful stories and facts about various buildings/landmarks we passed. Then we took the carriage into Windsor Great Park and enjoyed sparkling wine while viewing the red stag and enjoying the views of the castle. !"
