Windsor Joey
Meet Windsor Joey

A gentle giant with a loyal following and an important role within Windsor's living traditions.
While we work alongside several wonderful horses, Joey has become something of a local favourite. Known for his calm nature and unmistakable presence, he has become familiar to many visitors and residents who recognise him as part of Windsor's changing seasons and traditions.
From Windsor To Screen
You may recognise Joey from his appearance in Netflix's The Gentleman, although to those who know him, he has long been a star in his own right.
As an English Cob, Joey comes from a breed admired for strength, intelligence and a naturally steady temperament. His broad frame and kind character make him a wonderful ambassador for traditional horsemanship and heritage work.
Community Engagement

Joey In The Community
Joey regularly supports community and educational initiatives helping people connect with horses, heritage and traditional skills.
His involvement has included:
• educational and school visits
• heritage and cultural events
• charity and community initiatives
• creating memorable moments for children and families
Many people's first interaction with a carriage horse has been with Joey, and his calm nature often leaves a lasting impression.
Continuing A Living Tradition
For generations, horses have been part of Windsor's story.
Today Joey helps continue that connection, not simply through tradition itself, but through the moments of curiosity, conversation and joy that horses naturally create around them.
